| History: | Mohave name originally shown as Huacavah meaning 'there is very little sweet water'. So named, apparently, because on a General Land Office (GLO) 1869 plat a spot called Harcourer Water is shown in these mountains. The present spelling appears established by 1875 although an 1874 Public Surveys Map shows Harquar (AZ-T101). |
